Itinerant preacher and founder of Heart Cry Missionary Society, Paul Washer, says Christian women who wear clothes that outline the shape of their body are "sensual" and "wrong" about how they are exhorted to dress in the Bible. There is clothing that is improper for a Christian woman.""My wife has a really good thing that she says: 'If your clothing is a frame for your face, from which the glory of God is to shine, it's proper, if it draws attention to your face.
Preaching from 1 Timothy 2, Washer explained in a You Tube clip Paul's exhortation to women to dress modestly."He says, 'I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing.' That tells me that there is clothing that's improper for a Christian woman. If your clothing draws attention to your body, to outline it, to make it noticed, then it's sensual.' What you're doing is wrong," he warned Christian women.
We want to present a beautiful spotless bride to Christ because He deserves the reward for His suffering!
You probably know Paul Washer as the man who preached the infamous “Shocking Youth Message,” a sermon that has tallied over one million views on You Tube.
But there is far more to the man than that one sermon.
For ten years he was a missionary in Peru and in that time he founded the Heart Cry Missionary Society to support Peruvian church planters.
Parents are responsible to faithfully teach the things of God to their children. In this video, Paul Washer teaches parents about the God-given command to raise their children in the teaching and admonition of the Lord.
You probably wonder where I stand regarding Paul Washer.
His opponents think Paul Washer confuses the “fruit” of faith with the “root” of faith.
I didn’t hear that, but I’m not that informed about all of Washer’s teachings.
What is “truth” to some is “slander” and “malicious gossip” to others. Paul Washer is a dyed-in-the-wool Calvinist and a Southern Baptist itinerant minister. Not really in light of the flux in USAmerican evangelicalism and the Southern Baptist Convention’s surrender to strong neo-Reformed voices.
Fully committed Arminians are quick to call Paul Washer a “false prophet.” They are the ones still all aghast at the doctrine “once saved, always saved.” Washer has no place for decisional regeneration and a lot of the theological rants about Washer labor over whether faith precedes regeneration or regeneration precedes faith.
